Sleep with the Sharks!
June 28, 2014
Registration Deadline: May 1, 2014

What we're doing...
Join us for our Sleep with the Sharks event at Ripley's Aquarium (Myrtle Beach, SC) for a fun-filled night that includes a dive show, behind-the-scenes educational program, and a creature feature scavenger hunt. To make it even better, you'll have the option to Swim with the Stingrays, too (includes a behind-the-scenes tour)! Then we'll wrap things up with a late-night snack and activity before setting up camp in the aquarium's Dangerous Reef Tunnel, where the sharks will keep a watchful eye on us while we sleep.

Activities will begin at on Saturday, June 28 and end on Sunday morning. All ages are welcome, but everyone who attends (even infants and toddlers) must pay the same fee. (Children must be at least 6 years old to swim with the stingrays, and at least one parent must accompany their children on this experience.)

Plan to bring a sleeping bag or air mattress, pillow, basic toiletries, and a plain white or light-colored t-shirt for a craft project. If you bring air mattresses, please limit the size of the mattress as much as possible (no doubles or oversized mattresses for just one child or adult - doubles must hold two people). There's limited space in the tunnel and we want to make sure everyone has enough space to enjoy the views during the night.

Carolina Homeschooler members will have priority when registering for this event. I'll keep a waiting list and will add non-members if space is available. See our membership area for more information about becoming a member.

(NOTE: No drop-offs. Parents, or another adult, must attend this event with their children.)

Cost and what's included...
The cost for 2014-2015 members is $20 per person age 11 and younger, and $30 per person age 12 and older. If you want to Swim with the Stingrays, add $30 per person.

Non-members will be added if space is available at the following rates: $30 per person age 11 and younger, and $40 per person age 12 and older. If you want to Swim with the Stingrays, add $30 per person.

This includes the Sleep with the Shark overnight event (and the Swim with the Stingrays experience if you choose it), all activities, a late-night snack and continental breakfast.

Note: The Stingray experience can't be added later. If you're wavering between doing the Stingray experience or not, the normal price is $75 per person. If this is something that's on your bucket list, you may want to go for it in case we can't get this price again. (But I'm all about budgeting, so if you can only afford the Sleep with the Sharks experience, you'll still have a great time, even if you don't swim with the rays.)

Cancellation policy and refunds...
Payments are refundable only if I have a family on my waiting list to replace you, and a $50 per family cancellation fee will be deducted from all refunds. No replacements, roster changes, or refunds will be made after May 1, 2014.

Your signed registration form and payment acknowledges that you understand and agree with my cancellation and refund policy.

This event may be cancelled if we don't have enough participants to meet the minimum required. If it's cancelled, you'll receive a full refund of payments made to me.

Want to go?
Full payment is due within 7 days of the date I confirm your registration or it will be deleted. (I'll send you a confirmation email with payment instructions.)

After you submit the form, you'll receive an automated notification that it posted correctly. This email does not confirm your spots at the event - it just confirms that your registration went through correctly. Please email me if you have any questions or don't receive your automated email within 30 minutes of registering.

(I use the same registration form for several events. Please make sure you choose the correct event on the form and complete all required fields.)
Important Notes

You (or another adult) must attend this program with your children. No drop-offs.
