Coastal
Home Educator's Conference
You're invited to attend the Coastal Home Educator's Conference on
May 30 and 31 in Beaufort, SC. Scheduled activities include the CHEC
Book Blast (used curriculum sale), a vendor hall featuring various
curriculum suppliers, as well as speaker workshops and Q&A Sessions
with homeschool veterans. CHEC's Keynote Speaker will be Lou Priolo,
a Christian counselor and author featured on Focus on the Family.
Their $10 Registration fee includes the CHEC Book Blast and both
days of CHEC. Children under 18 are welcomed free. For more

LCHEA Used Curriculum Sale
The LCHEA support group is having a curriculum sale on Saturday,
June 7, from 9:00 am to noon. It will be held at Faith Christian
School (at Faith Assembly of God Church) on 337 Farmington Road in
Summerville. The cost is $2 per family. For more information,

SCHEA's 2008
Homeschool Convention
The 18th annual state homeschool convention, sponsored by SCHEA,
will be held on the campus of the University of South Carolina
Sumter, in Sumter, SC on Friday and Saturday, June 20-21. This
year's convention theme is "Foundation, Family, Future" and speakers
will include Phil Downer and his son Paul, Eric and Joyce Burges,
and Todd Wilson. Over 60 workshops are planned for homeschoolers of

Georgia Homeschool Expo
The Georgia Homeschool Expo will be held on July 25 and 26 at the
Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. It's devoted entirely to the
display, sale, and discussion of educational materials with displays
of materials by Christian, secular, and specialty publishers.
Homeschooling parents can attend workshops at no cost other than
