I was on one of my military wives groups and there was a discussion about homeschooling. One woman posted that here in South Carolina homeschoolers can go to the public schools for band, sports, things like that. If it's true, would I have to go to the school that we would be assigned to or could I pick a different school if I wanted to do this. Not sure I would do it, but if it's an option... who knows. Anywho, thanks for any answers y'all can give me!

Sara, what you heard isn't true. Most schools in SC will not allow homeschoolers or private schoolers to participate in their extra-curricular activities - and they're not required to. They feel that's their draw over other educational alternatives (private, homeschool, church school) and they want to keep that edge. Don't count on the schools providing any extra services for your children.
