Hello,

I would like to hear your ideas for a 3 day weekend getaway in South Carolina or the lower part of North Carolina.

What's interesting in your neck of the woods, where to stay, what to do. Interested in hearing all ideas except for the Myrtle Beach area.

Thanks! :smile2:

The mountain in north carolina are great. Chimney rock state park is really pretty and fun. also in ridgeway sc, there is a train that you can ride for a 20 mile round trip which is neat.

How about the mountains. You could go to Brevard NC. Go to Pisgah Forrest. They have natural trails you can walk. They also have a fish hatchery. People float down the river on rafts. Patricia

If I was going an a three day vacation it would be to Columbia. They have the zoo, the puppet show, the governers mansion and several tours of homes. Shopping of all kinds. Fireman museums and more. It seems to have it all.
Greenville is a very busy city.
We love Ashville, NC and Chimney Rock is growing on us.
For our anniversary every year we visit a new small town for the day. We have visited Brevard, Anderson, and Woodruf. I wish to visit: Union, Laurens, Abbyville, Greenwood and Newberry.
Often we visit any SC welcome centers and they give out a SC book/ magizine type, that tells about everywhere in the state that is interesting. You will get lots of ideas there. You will also get leaflets and can read about many places that you'd like to visit or never knew were there. These leaflets are good to place in a homeschool records book also if you went as school projects. I always go before school to get field trip ideas. i actually went today.
Let us all know where you are headed.
