Just wondering how all of you keep your planners, attendance records, etc. Do you buy a real planner/log from a teacher supply store, or print forms from your computer or what? I'm looking for the most cost-effective and easiest.
So, how do you do it?
Thanks!

Stephanie:
There are lots of websites that have FREE logs and planners. Here are a few (not complete list) that I like:
http://www.donnayoung.org/
http://www.thehomeschoolmom.com/gettingorganized/planner.php
http://homeschooling.about.com/index.htm?once=true&rnk=c1&terms=Home+Schooling
There is also a yahoo grp that has forms and such: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/homeschool_form_share/?yguid=149690198
And finally, there are a few computer programs that generate forms and planners, etc....just google homeschool planning computer programs or something similar. Some are free for a particular time period, others you have to buy straight out. The one I am currently impressed with is Homeschool Tracker. You can download their basic version for free or you can get their plus version for $35 and are entitled to EVERY update they will ever have for FREE and they answer your emails promptly. They also have a very active forum/discussion board. Their website is http://www.homeschooltracker.com/ . I also have edu-track but have been very disappointed in their lack of a weighted grading system and their policies about updates (which there have been none for awhile!).
Hope this helps,
marty

After reading through that link above, I've decided to do a written daily planner (to plan out the weeks ahead) and then use homeschool tracker as we go along, filling in what we actually accomplish from the planner. If I don't plan things out ahead I tend to get side-tracked easily, but I like the idea of having it computerized too. Hopefully I'll work out the kinks in this plan before too long!
