Hello I am new here. I have been home schooling for about a year now. I have a 1st grader and two preschoolers. I am very lonely:cry:. I would like to get in contact with any one else who is home schooling in the area, and has a 1st grader boy. All of my son's friends went to school this year and he needs friends that do school at home. I think he is kind of confused right now. I think he thinks that he is just getting ready for school, when in fact be knows alot more then his friends. I have given up persuading my sister or my friends to do homeschooling with me. I have recieved comments any where from: I cannot keep a schedule to I cannot teach, to I am afraid. They even think of me as a super mom. A few nights ago I was crying to my husband that I just could not bear the fact that others thought that I have a gift for this when in reality it was beeing acomplished with so much effort and nerves and reciting the pasage that I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me. I am Ok now, but I am still desparate to find a friend I do not have to deffend my self to about my home schooling decission. Is there any one here who can relate to me? I need all the advice and support I can get.
