Does anyone here use this? I will be homeschooling my 1st and 5th graders for the first time starting in a few weeks. This seems like an interesting approach. Both kids are big readers but get bored with 1 book for too long. What are your opinions or any other suggestions to something similar? Thanks! Rebecca

I thought about using that, but my son wants to read different books all the time, he would get bored, so i am making my own up as we go along. it isnt too hard when they are young,

Rebecca, if you think you'd like it, go ahead and try it. Then you can alter it to suit your needs. Those who have used FIAR say that after you've used it for awhile, it's easy to use different books and incorporate the same concepts, as well as change it to fit your needs. Think of it as a basic blueprint, and go from there.
