I do not know if this is appropriate to post here, and if it is not I do apologize, but I thought some parents in the Greenville area might like to know that I am offering string instrumental lessons (particularly violin, which is my main instrument).
I have a degree in music education, but during student teaching experience within the public schools, I was frustrated by many negative teachers and administrators and felt I would not be able to have the positive impact I wanted to have on my students, while in that envisronment. I have decided to teach private lessons (or small group for friends and/or siblings).
I am available week days and evenings, and would consider weekends. My degree is from Syracuse UNiversity, Setnor School of Music. I graduated this past May, 2006. My rates are flexible and I offer discounts for siblings, whether in a group or individual lessons. I want to work with you to enhance the education you already give your child, and if parents want to learn right along with their child, that's great too!. I have experience teaching beginners as young as four, right up through adults. Please contact me for more information. I would love to talk to you. mjsbassett@yahoo.com Thank you!

Dianna, if you don't mind my asking, where are you?I am slowly starting to network with other music teachers in the state and if I meet anyone in that area, I'll let you know. -Maria
