We are waiting on our ass. letter so we can take dd5 out of school.Well this morning as I was helping dd get dressed she told me that the teacher wanted to spank her,I ask her what she meant she said yesterday while on the playground another little boy was hitting her so she went to the teacher to get the teacher to get the boy to stop hitting her and the teacher told her to stop tattling or she would spank her.when my dd told me this it flew all over me so when I took her to school this morning I went in with her and talked to the teacher the teacher said she did say that and that my dd was always in trouble for something her tone of voice was very snobby.I told her that we did not believe in spanking our child and that that was no excuse for threating my child and I would appcieate it if she wouldn't tell my dd that again(I tried very hard to control my voice and say it in a sweat tone) I also asked why she did'nt make the other little boy stop hitting my dd,she says she didn't see it.I told her if she would have listen to my dd she would have and I have the bruises on dd arm to show where she was hit.She then said something I couldnt understand and said she had to go.
On my way out I stopped by the principals office and talked to her she said she would handle it.I am not the only parent to complain about this teacher and that she would call me back with a solution to the problem at this point the only solution I could see is getting my dd out of that teacher class and out of the school.Am tring to wait patiently for my ass. letter.
Thanks for letting me vent I am just soooo mad.

Vicki, call your association and ask them if your paperwork has been processed, and if it has, would they be willing to verify via phone that you're a member so you can go ahead and withdraw your daughter. You don't have to wait for the registration letter to pull her out if they're willing to verify via phone (most associations are).

Also, if your daughter is 5, that means she is in kindergarten, right? If so, you can go to the school right now and sign a waiver and pull her out. You don't even have to join an association if you don't want to. Many people who have K students decide to join one to keep their distance from the system, but since you're already "in the system", you can easily sign the waiver and take her out today.

It makes me sick to think of your daughter having to put up with a teacher like that. That the teacher admitted to her behavior just boggles my mind. I'll be surprised if she isn't fired.

Vicki, I'm so glad you were able to find out where to sign the waiver and get your daughter out. I bet she'll be much happier now! Let us know if you have any questions as you go along.

Warmly,
Dianna
