What schools or programs are you using and are you happy with them? I will start home schooling my 9th grade daughter in January. She has mild learning dissability and I am very unhappy with the way that public school is handling her resource. Another thing I dissagree with is that if she is in any self contained classes she will not receive a diploma, only a certificate of completion of school. So I am going to give her the one-on-one attention that she needs and I think she will have a better chance of earning her diploma.

Any suggestions or help will be appreciated. I have checked into Penn Foster and they seem to be affordible and the classes seem diverse.

Thanks!

Suzanne, I don't use any structured programs or correspondence schools. Instead, we use a variety of resources and publishers. If you definitely want a correspondence school, can you tell me a little more about what you'd like? Would it have to be online? Religiously-based? What do you want in a program?

If you're not sure what you'd like to do yet, you may want to read through my FAQ area ( http://www.carolinahomeschooler.com/faq.htm ) to get an idea of the different methods there are available to homeschoolers.

www.crossroadschristianschool.com (http://www.crossroadschristianschool.com) is where older girls gradurated from. You use the material that works for you and get a Florida dipoloma. you will do the teaching though. It was the only correspondance that I found that was affordable and I could use various materials.
