when we either journal or have an agenda we keep, do we have to keep track of how long it took us to complete each subject?
i know we have the 4.5 hours per day thing.

No, you don't have to keep track of time spent on a subject. There is no 4.5 hour per day requirement. That's only if you go through Option 1.

Once your children are in high school, you may want to keep track of time spent in a subject if that's how you're documenting a credit.
