Registration is now open for the Homeschool Stroke Clinic at the Jewish Community Center, 306 Flora Drive in Columbia.
The clinics will be Monday and Wednesday from 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM.
The clinics will run in 4 week sessions beginning on September 5.
Session 1: Sept. 5, 10, 12,17,19,26, and October 1
Sessions 2: October 8, 10, 15, 17, 22,24, 29, 31
Session 3: November 5, 7,12,14,26,28, Dec. 3, 5
Cost per swimmer per session is $25.00 for JCC members, $35.00 for non-JCC members.
Swimmers need to be able to swim one length of the pool (25 yards) freestyle with rotary breathing. They don't have to be great at it, just have the knowledge of how to do it. In the clinics we will work on stroke technique, building endurance, breath control, turns and starts.
The clinics will be taught by Sharon Griffing, A Red Cross WSI certified instructor as well as a homeschooling mom of 3.
