Integrity Martial Arts Academy is proud to partner with NarroWay Productions, Inc to offer an 8-week Stage Combat with Broadsword course for ages 13 and up. Kelly Grenga, the instructor, is a homeschool graduate, a martial arts instructor, and holds an Actor/Combatant ranking with the Society of American Fight Directors. This course will focus on teaching students how the medieval broadsword is incorporated into theatre and will teach students the proper broadsword techniques, safety techniques, and acting skills needed to perform a safe, yet convincing theatrical action scene. All students will learn and perform a choreographed fight on stage using techniques learned in class.
The cost for the course is $145, which includes eight 1-hour lessons. Classes will be held on select Tuesday nights from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Classes will begin on April 15th and will end the end of June.
All students will need to purchase a wooden practice sword (ask instructor for details). Class space is limited to 14 participants. For more information call Kelly Grenga at 704-460-3519 or email at kellygrenga@carolina.rr.com.
