We are pleased to announce the:

2nd Annual Homeschool Connections Seminar in the Upstate of South Carolina!

Have you ever wondered how to connect with other homeschoolers? What curriculums do I use? What about the high schooling years? What about sports? Socialization? SAT? PSAT? Do my kids get a yearbook? Where can I find certified transcripts for my kids? Do the questions ever get answered?

Yes, they do. That's exactly what the Homeschool Connections Seminar is here for! All these questions and many more will be answered! Plus, there is an open forum time that allows you to speak individually with the speakers so that any questions you have will be answered!

Date: May 1st

Time: 9:30am - 11:30am (Seminar)
11:30 - 2:00pm (Book sale)

Location: Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church Christian Life Center

Address: 4371 Anderson Mill Road
Moore, SC

Directions: Come down Reidville Rd. (296) away from downtown. Turn Left onto Anderson Mill Road, about 1/4 mile past Dave Edwards Toyota. You'll find the church on your left, just past Elena Dr.

Each year we find more and more families are determining that God has called them to homeschool their children. We are also finding that doubt, confusion and fear are literally causing some families to freeze at the very idea that homeschooling is for them or that homeschooling through the high school years is a possibility. We invite you to join us for a time of informative refreshing and encouragement in your homeschooling journey!

Speakers: Julie Ridenour, Shay Kemp and Kristi Walker

Julie Ridenour is the homeschooling mother of 4 children and the wife of Duane Ridenour. Her two oldest daughters are both attending college on scholarships and her two youngest are entering 12th and 9th grades, respectively. Julie is a true pioneer in the homeschooling world! She has homeschooled her children since they entered school over 20 years ago! She will be speaking on the Lawson Band program at Converse college, NCFCA National debate program, and homeschooling through the high school years.

Shay Kemp is the homeschooling mother of four children and the wife of David Kemp. She is also the music director of Calvary Christian Fellowship in Boiling Springs, where David teaches the youth. With a true heart for God, homeschooling and connecting homeschooling parents to those with common interests, Shay has something to benefit all parents in the homeschooling community. She will be speaking on unit studies for all ages, teaching out of the box and how new parents can connect with other homeschooling families!

Kristi Walker is also a homeschooling mother of four and the wife of David Walker. She is the current director of STARS co-op and the owner of Walker & Co. Realty. She is also the leader of the local chapter of the National Home School Honor Society, Delta Mu. Kristi has a real passion for the homeschooling community and their understanding that they can educate their children thoroughly and successfully. She will be speaking on co-ops (extra-curricular groups), accountability groups, and preparing for Jr. High and High school.

The registration cost for the seminar is $5.00 PER FAMILY (not per person!) if you pre-register. The cost is 7.00 per family if you register at the door! This includes your entrance to the seminar and book sale. Please mail your $5.00 pre-registration fee and $5.00 book sale fee to Julie Ridenour at: 323 Holly Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29301

Please note that the book sale will NOT be open until the seminar is completed. No one will be allowed to enter the book sale area until the seminar is over and 30 minutes of question and answer time have been completed.

If you would like a table at the book sale, the cost is $5.00 per table. Purchasing a table at the book sale does not cover the cost of the seminar. However, you can split a table with another family if you don't think you've got enough to take up a whole table, but would still like to participate. This would be $2.50 per person at one table. Please contact Roxanne Mann for info about the book sale: sowing10seeds@bellsouth.net (http://us.mc588.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?to=sowing10seeds@bellsouth.net)

There will be snacks and drinks provided, but no lunch. There will also be some door prizes after the seminar! Participants must be present to win the door prizes.

You will have plenty of time to speak to each of the participants at the end of the seminar. Please take this time to ask them the questions that you want answered. That's why we're doing this! http://mail.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/01.gif

Please forward this to anyone who you believe would be interested. Please also forward this to any loops that you think would benefit from the information. Blessings to each of you and we look forward to seeing you there!
