Hello,
Is anybody worried about Hurricane Ophelia? It looks very sinister. The latest track just put where I live being ground zero for the hurricane. I hope we don't get hit. Is anybody else in its path? Good luck if you are! :confused2

Whew! They've moved the track farther north now and we're out of the way. I hope it just goes out to sea and doesn't hit anyone.

We are in the direction, but we are so far in,they say, that the only thing we'll get is rain ,and a lettle of the high winds. The winds will probably be 40 miles an hour. They said that on my radio.

Yeah, and it doesn't seem to be getting any stronger. They still aren't sure where it's going to go- they say all of their predictions are pretty tenuous. I live right on the coast, so my family always has to pay close attention to all the hurricane reports. If a storm like Katrina came through where I live, everything would be totally destroyed.

I don't think that it will be a big one. They think that the winds are going to get up to 85mph, so it looks like this one is going to be a tenuous one, no need to worry.

Is any one else as flabbergasted as I am about how many hurricanes there have been in the past two years and how strong they’ve been? I am so glad that my family lives too far inland for the hurricanes to get us. We might get some strong storms, but that’s it. :biggrin2:

Even when they issue a mandatory evacuation when a hurricane is coming, a lot of people don't leave. If they would, it would be a lot better. They would be a lot safer.
