In gymnastics you have to be arrogant.

I take dance lessons. It is sometimes redundant. I am not in the redundant contest.

in gymnastics you can be flabbergast.

Also in gymnastics you have to be adamant. If you aren't you can get side tracted and not have a very good day. You must concetrate on what you are doing and no else but yourself.

My favorite sport is baseball. I m a catcher but you would not think that I did, because I am so meticulous about my hair.

Is anyone out there? Anyway I love baseball so much that when Im playing I am oblivious to anything else going on around me. Does anyone else love a sport that much?

mbhanna
10-10-2005, 11:16 AM
Did you all know that the Braves are out of the playoffs? I love watching baseball, especially the Braves. :smile2: Jeff Francoir is my favorite player. :biggrin2: He is 21 years old. Oh well, I guess I won't be able to see them play again until April! I absolutely LOVE baseball!!

mbhanna

If you are a pitcher, I would think that you would have to be very oblivious to everything surrounding you! You would have to block out everyone screaming and watching you. wowie! I admire anyone who is a pitcher!

CutiePieGymnast

I have to do that in gymnastics. When you are in a meet you can not let the audience distract you or anything distract you. I pretent that the judges and I are the only ones there and I am showing them what I got to do!

Yesterday my coach was telling us to do something that no one knew what she was talking about so she had to give an epitome of this weird chest roll thing with a bunch of stuff added on!

I have a friend that is the epitome of pitchers. He is the fastest pitcher I know, and I catch for him and he pops the fire out of my catchers mit.

My friend from gymnastics has an ostentatious cell phone and she is only 11! It is really big though and I don't like it. I don't want a cell phone like that when I get one.

Have any of you guys noticed that some people can be ostentatious when they play sports. Some people like attention from anyone, not that would be me.

mbhanna
10-12-2005, 10:38 AM
Sometimes there are those in this world who are ostentatious with others watching them. They flounce all around and think they are the center of attention! I've seen a couple of people do that.

There is this one girl on my gymnastics team and she provokes everyone. She makes us so angry, she's kinda got an attitude at sometimes.

mbhanna
10-13-2005, 09:39 AM
Sometimes when two teams play each other in a game like baseball, one or both teams, provoke each other, all wanting to win. I can't stand when they get to the point where they are yelling at each other and everything! When i played softball, it never got that way, but it does happen in the MLB.

doc

When the umpire mades a call that some people thinks is a bad call they start yelling at him to provoke a fight. They think it will change his mind but it never works. I know from experience, because I umpired at the local little league field.:rolleyes2

I like soccer.

mbhanna
10-14-2005, 08:43 AM
I think that it should be madatory that the umpire has to be from out of town or doesn't care who wins. They can hope for one team and not the other. Like call good calls for them and bad calls for the team they don't want to win!

mbhanna
10-15-2005, 09:22 AM
Do any of you play any instruments?? I play the piano and the flute. You have to be very tenacious if you want to learn how to play something. You have to stick to it.

doc
10-15-2005, 12:52 PM
Thats the way I was because I didnt know any of the little boys or girls that were on the teams I umpired for. It was not the players that was the problem it was their parents. The parents take it to seriously, and want let the kids just have fun.

mbhanna
10-16-2005, 02:26 PM
I agree! Sometimes the parents take it much more seriously than the actual players! I don't like it when parents try to coach from the stands.

mbhanna
10-16-2005, 02:27 PM
It's like they are trying to usurp the coaches job or something! :biggrin2:

Im glad that im not the only one that sees the way parents can act at a kids sports event. I have to say that sometimes I have empathy for those parents.:rolleyes2

CutiePieGymnast

thats cool I go to our neighborhood pool or the pool in the workout place!

mbhanna
10-31-2005, 01:15 PM
My community has a pool for everyone to go to. We go to that in the summer. They are supposed to be only open in the summer, but I think that you can go in the winter as well. The only thing is, it won't be clean because I don't think that they keep it up during the winter months.

When you are in gymnastics you have to have the zeal to practice all the timeand always be doing it.

I'm not sure... I think about what you were talking about.
I'm feeling much better today. Yesterday I woke up really dizzy and heavy in the head with my ears hurting. So I stayed home laying on the couch either falling asleep, doing school, or watching TV. My mom gave me medicine though and i felt a lot better. That was good though because yesterday was my brothers birthday so we went out to eat, came home and did presents, then ate cake. I didn't go to gymnastics today so I have a day off but I still have stuff I got to do today.

Yeah, some people do have a descrepancy when it comes to whether gymnastics is a sport. Personally, I think that it is! It is in the Olympics, isn't it? My definition of a sport is anything that you do that's fun and requires energy and practice!

I've played softball for 3 years and almost every year I'm either the catcher or the pitcher. I was almost on the travel team actually, but it was too much money. I admire catchers. People don't really think so but being a catcher is alot of work. Even though I like to cheer with my friends, softball would be my favorite sport.

Cassie, I just wanted to welcome you to the forums! This is such a friendly group of teens that I know you'll feel at home in no time. :smile2:

As you know my favorite sport is baseball. I love to play the sport, but I have found that watching other people play can be tedious. I would rather be playing and that makes it kind of boring to me just to sit and watch.
