FINALLY!! The 05-06 Edition of the Homeschool Resources Directory is now available. This year's HSRD is $6.50, with an additional $2.50 for shipping. Get your copy in store at Children's Books (557 Hammett Store Rd, Lyman, SC) or via US mail by sending $9.00 to Children's Books, P. O. Box 239, Greer, SC 29652. To order over the phone, call Children's Books at 1-800-344-3198 *after* Monday, 9/19/05. The 05-06 edition features articles by national and local authors on a variety of topics, along with a copy of state laws on homeschooling, national homeschooling organizations, and curricula publishing companies. Of course, updated listings for support groups and cooperatives across the state are included, as well as updated listings for accountability associations, courses, classes, and homeschooler owned/operated businesses across the state, and much, much more.
The folks at Children's Books have been gracious enough, at my request, to handle all distribution of this year's HSRD, allowing me to focus completely on my family (including my one month old son). While this means that discounts for bulk purchase of the HSRD are not possible this year, the staff at Children's Books are able to ship multiple copies (no matter how many) for ONE low rate of $2.50. So if you are ordering via the mail, order with a friend to save on shipping costs.
