Hello everybody! This is just a little thread where we can speak about our specialities and opinions on things.

Like what is everybody wanting to do when they grow up?

I want to be a writer and a missionary. I'm in the process of writing a fictional story that's up to 24 chapters and no where near done.

I'm trying to start a ministry for teens too. I'm going to do a little bible study with teenage girls 13 to 16 in the Spring. We're going to read a book aloud. It's called "A young woman after God's own heart." It's a really great book and I highly recommend it to all you lovely young ladies.

I want to be a (don't laugh!) librarian when I grow up. Or, if I might major in music and teach piano or flute. Have any of you girls read Let's Talk by Denae Dobson? I really liked that book! Also, i've heard of the book you're going through, Meg. i really want to read it!

I want to be a medical researcher when i get older. I want to find a cure for cerebral palsy . I am asking that you pray for a little girl I know. She is 6 yrs. old and in the ICU with pneumonia. This is a special little girl because she already has so many problems. When she was a baby, she got very sick from a pet turtle! Her cousins had been playing with it and then played with her without washing their hands. This was 1 of the little turtles that come from a pet store. She developed encephalitis which went into cerebral palsy, etc. She now must breathe with the help of a trach and can't enjoy food anymore because she's fed through a G-tube. She's doesn't remember how to swallow and she can't walk, speak, or even sit up anymore! She can only function on the level of a 9 month old baby, but now she is even more ill. Her name is Lauren and I've been with her several times. She's a beautiful little girl and smiles at you when you give her a little attention. Her smile just warms your heart because you know that she's happy because you took the time to talk to her and not just forget that she's there. Please take a few minutes to pray for her and then please send this prayer request on to all your friends. I certainly do appreciate it!

Thanks she got a privite room and is doing a little bit better a few days ago. she is home now but i think the hospital let her out to soon. she is so weak. i'm afride God is just going to take her and i don't want him to yet.m She has a chance jsut if her mother would give her one. her mom wont feed her properly and doesnt play with her so thats why the lady takes care of her in the day

Im sorry about your friend and I will pray for her. I would have wrote sooner but things have been crazy here at my house since we had two new baby horses come. I tell you this so you would not think that I Procrastinate, because I dont.

I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear that drummergirl! I'll put you and your friend on my prayer list right away. Just keep in mind that God always has a plan and a purpose.

"For I know the plans and purposes I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and no to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Like I said, I'll be praying for you and your friend. Be strong and wait on the Lord!

Heh, I'm going to need some prayer. I'm starting a small business with making things. Crafts, blankets, pottery, jewery and such. Keep me in your prayers that it'll actually work

WOW! that's so cool! I will pray for you. What is the name of it? I can make stuff like that. I know how to knit so I make scarfs for my friends and myself. I also know how to crochet but I don't remember b/c I like to knit more.

Heh, yeah, like that. I'm still learning things though. I can crochet, but I'm having a time trying to learn how to knitt. I'm working on jewelry and shawls first. They're easier.

cool I think knitting is easier that crocheting but that's me! I sometimes knot slow because I don't have time!

I am so sorry. I also, will pray for her. I want to be a vet when I grow up. I love animals and I'm always bring home strays....I can't anymore b/c as if right now we have 12 pets!!! I'm planning to go to Clemson University to get my vets degree. Better start saving up alot of $$$!:smile2:
