I was wondering what everyone is using? We have started with Get ready, set & go for the code along with MCP phonics - K for phonics, Singapore earlybird math, and alot of The Critical Thinking Co. pre-k books. Does anyone have any experience with them?
Stephanie :rolleyes2

Stephanie, I've kept the early years as low-workbook, and low-key as possible, but I do really like the Singapore math series (Earlybird, Primary US Edition, and secondary level). I also use Miquon Math in conjunction with Singapore in the first several years. My youngest son didn't use the last two Miquon workbooks because they just didn't seem to click with him, but my middle son used all of them. My children have a very good conceptual understanding of math using these books; I wish I had had the same understand when I was their age... would've saved a lot of headache! :rolleyes2
I don't have experience with the other resources you listed because, like I said, we like to keep it low-key. I teach them basic phonics skills, then let them read, read, read. We take field trips, watch documentaries, etc. We also begin handwriting skills (when they're ready).
Hope this helps! :smile2:
