I am the one who emailed Thing in Greenville about the Iowa testing. I really appreciate your idea of using the Seton test. I plan to do that one.

You're welcome, Lorna. I really like the idea of testing my children myself. It's just more private than having someone else test my children and possibly get a copy of the scores.

I had wondered about science and history since we don't use public school books we may not cover the same things.

Yes, I usually recommend skipping those portions because they're just not reliable indicators of our children's knowledge in these areas. The tests are more reliable if you stick with the skill areas - reading, writing/language skills, and math.
