Let's get to know each other a little better and have fun with a poll! :smile2: What do you like to do when you're alone and have time to just relax and do whatever you want?

I had to vote "other" because it's really all of them, depending on the circumstances. Unfortunately for my waistline, ice cream wins way too much of the time!

Down time? That's funny! I have always loved to read but now it seems that any reading I do is about Homeschooling. LOL. I also love to take black & white Photography. But that too seems to center around my children. Am I sad or what!

Not sad at all....LOL....sounds typical to me....I usually use my down time surfing the web looking for books on Ebay or Half! And if I have my hubby home, I end up jumping in the car and hitting the used bookstore or the thrift stores....looking for what you ask....more books!!! I must say the thrift stores are a great place to find books for homeschooling....I walked in SA the other day and found two books right away, that were on my reading list for this year!!

Hello again. Myfavorite hobbies are gardening and shopping. I can think of which one I like more and would love to become a master garden one day. Either that or earn a degree in shopping. I find both take so much mental energy that I forget my troubles and burdens for a few hours and feel totally refreshed once I am back managing the household again. Linda Holt

I am a movie watcher and collecter. I own hundreds of movies. The husband rarely lets me buy them know it is crazy out of cotrol. I also love to read. I have always been a fan of true crime but somehow got sucked into the Harry Potter books. Finally got my hands on new one and am spendig as much time as possible reading it. Really hard to do these days with my very rotten new baby that loves to be held. I have been very creative in balancing him and book over the last two days. I just hope it I drop one its not the book....JUST KIDDING......I would never drop the book! LOL!

You and my hubby....geesh movies everywhere....a neighbor left a rental house next door and left a pile of stuff on the street and one box had about 50 movies in it....I had to think long & hard (even had the star wars movies in the gold sleeve)...Do I really want to inable this addiction.....Free Movies Won!!!

I have found that I never get to read a real book anymore when I had a 1-3 book a day, speed reader here, addiction....but now I hit the Books on Tape or CD strap them on and keep going!!! My Library has a book download too were you can download a big selection of Newer titles!!

You might not believe this...too funny....but I DL and type in forums as I listen to a book...eating up my hard drive with books!!

And be happy you have one that likes to be held....my first two no way...last one is 10 and almost as tall as me(5'10') and still wants to be held....so I did get one at last....Careful what you wish for they say...

I had to vote *take a nap* on the poll, as my alone time runs from about 11:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. LOL! Seriously, though, I like to see what's on ebay (I have a fettish for vintage cookbooks & textbooks) while my son does his course work. I love to read a good book or watch a movie when I can afford the time. We rented Spanglish this last weekend - wonderful movie about a mom's struggle to do what she thinks is best for her child.

Truthfully I don't think internet use was on the list. That is my down time. My friend time too. LOL
