When: August 26
Where: Discovery Place, Charlotte, NC
Registration Deadline: Registration is closed.
Membership is required for this event.
Science of Ripley’s Believe It or Not
Showcasing a collection of intriguing objects and astonishing artifacts, we’ll be able to crawl through a life-size model of a prehistoric snake; measure ourselves against Robert Wadlow, the world’s tallest man; marvel at optical illusions and intricate micro-sculptures so small they fit in the eye of a needle; and more!
Dream Big: Engineering Our World IMAX
From the world’s tallest buildings to underwater robots and a solar car race across Australia, Dream Big celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels big and small and shows how engineers push the limits of innovation in unexpected and amazing ways.
The timing of events will be provided later, but plan for a full day to include exhibit, IMAX, and free time in museum.
Cost, Cancellations, and Refund Policy
The cost is $14 per person (including adults) and includes admission to the museum, the Ripley’s exhibit, the IMAX, and tax. Parking is an additional $8 per vehicle if you park in the museum’s parking deck (payable when you exit the garage). Children under 2 are free.
Lunch is not provided, so plan to eat at the museum’s cafe (organic foods), bring your own food and drinks (I’ve reserved space in their lunch room), or there are plenty of restaurants within a block of the museum.
The museum does not give refunds for cancellations or no-shows. Your submitted registration form and payment acknowledges that you understand and agree with my cancellation and refund policy.
