We collect minimal information
You may contact us via various contact forms, email links, and our regular postal address. We use your contact information solely to reply to your question or comments. We do not share email addresses or postal addresses with outside parties without your permission.

We offer public forums on our site for people to discuss homeschooling in South Carolina. Each forum is moderated to ensure that members conform to our standards. Please remember that any information you share on our forums is public, so use caution in disclosing personal information. We can delete or modify personal information after it has been posted to our forums, so let us know if you've posted information you wish to remove.

When you register for our discussion forums, you can choose whether to receive email communications from us. We will try to honor your choices. We reserve the right, however, to email you on rare occasions when we think it is important.

Your children's privacy
We seek to protect the privacy of your children on our website. The forums in our Children and Youth Area and the class forums in our Course Area are for children of various ages. These forums are moderated to make certain that children conform to our posting standards. Any information that your children disclose on these forums is public. Please remind them to use caution in what they share, especially personal information, since we are able to delete or modify information only after it is posted. Please ask them not to post their full name, address, or other personally identifiable information.

Some technical details about the information we collect
Our discussion forum software uses your Internet Protocol (IP) address (a numeric address that only computers read) in the maintenance and tracking of the system. We don't share your IP information with others. The software also offers your computer a "cookie," a small file that includes bits of information that your browser can store on your computer. The "cookie" enables the forum software to keep track of your movements in order to make your visits run more smoothly (it will mark items that you've already read and highlight forums that have new messages, for example.) We do not use any information gained from your "cookie" for any other purpose.

Interest-based advertising

We've placed Google Ads on our website as a fundraising tool for our trips. We receive a small percentage of the profit when members click on these ads. Google is a third-party vendor and uses cookies to serve these ads. These cookies enable Google to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of the use of these cookies by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

We also participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. All proceeds go toward providing fundraising money for our trips.

Links to other sites
Our site contains links to other sites that we feel may benefit you. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or content of any of these linked sites. We review these links periodically, but please let us know if you feel any links are inappropriate for our site.

Unsubscribing from our mailing lists and discussion forums
In every mailing list message you receive from us, an unsubscribe link is included at the bottom of the message. We use SafeUnsubscribe technology so you are guaranteed an instant and permanent removal from our mailing lists. If you wish to unsubscribe from any mailing list, please use the SafeUnsubscribe link or email us and ask us to remove you. In addition, if you would like us to remove your registration from our discussion forums, please email us or use our mailing address below.
