SC/NC/GA - Southeast Homeschool Convention

Registration is now open for the Southeast Homeschool Convention in Greenville, South Carolina. This convention features a large curriculum exhibit hall and featured speakers, including Gianna Jessen, Dr. Larry Schweikart, Pastor Tedd Tripp, John Rosemond, Kirk and Casey Martin, Andrew Pudewa, Dr. Michael Platt, and dozens more! Workshops include Christian worldview, creation apologetics, and parenting topics. An optional children’s conference will be available for children ages 5–12. SC - Mayan History Camp

Join Carolina Homeschooler at the SC State Museum in Columbia on March 15-16 for our overnight Maya Camp! We'll unearth artifacts during an archeological dig, make spirit masks representing the ancient deities of Maya culture, use Mayan hieroglyphs to make unique clay and bead amulets, and visit their upcoming Secrets of the Maya exhibit. The women of the Carolina Ladies Aid Society (CLAS) lead this fascinating journey, told through women’s clothing. Learn how fashion reflected vast societal change from the Civil War years of 1860 to 1865, through a presentation accompanied by live models in a variety of ensembles, from work dresses to mourning clothes.

SC - Honeybee Culture

Sally Adams and Anita Lehew, the “Bee Ladies” from MamaBeehive Honey Farm, will present an interactive, educational program about honeybee culture. The programs will cover everything from the jobs of the worker bees to early lessons in beekeeping. Each participant will receive a honey straw and a 100% beeswax tea light.
