    Conservation Preppers

    The Greenville Zoo’s education department offers lively, hands-on programs sure to engage students as they learn. Surviving long winters takes serious preparation. Learn the steps animals and plants take when cold weather approaches. Human’s response to winter has changed considerably over the centuries. How can we conserve energy today and be good stewards for future generations? ages 5-7(9:00am-10:30am), 8-10(10:45am-12:15pm) and 11-14(2:00pm-3:30pm) is a preregistered class. Although topics may be the same for each age group, the material will be age appropriate. Vocabulary words and post activities are included. Registration is open until September 12th and costs $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Package price breaks available.     All great inventions start out as merely ideas and some even happen by accident. Hear inventions stories, learn about the U.S. Patent System and do some inventing of your own. Be sure to bring your creativity and wear your thinking caps. For ages 8-14, $6/Person, including mill tour. Pre-registration is required. This event takes place at Historic Yates Mill County Park in Raleigh, North Carolina from 10:00am- 12:00pm.
