    9:00am – 3:00pm
Spirits of the Hopi Summer Workshop
Museum of Anthropology, Wake Forest University
Kachinas are used by the Hopi people to portray the spirits that they believe surround them. During this one-day workshop, participants will look at Hopi kachinas and learn what they represent, how they are created, and why they are used. Using kachinas in the Museum’s collection as inspiration, participants will create their own kachina. The fee is $45 ($30 for MOA Friends), which includes all supplies and a snack. Participants need to bring a bag lunch. The workshop is limited to 10 attendees. Registration and payment for the program guarantees a spot. The registration form can be downloaded at http://moa.wfu.edu/education/for-parents/summer-camps/.
