This annual event brings to life the war in the Carolina Backcountry. Demonstrations of military camp life, music, crafts, and various theatrical presentations brings to life the tumultuous times the region experienced during the American Revolution.
Activities include kid’s militia drills, 18th century music and dancing, colonial games, and a memorial wreath-laying ceremony lead by Col. William Bratton Chapter SC Sons of the American Revolution. The day’s events will include two battles on Saturday. In the morning will be the Battle of Huck’s Defeat. In the afternoon will be the Battle of Blackstock’s Plantation. Sunday will feature an 18th century worship service. The day will also include a reenactment of the Stallions Raid.
