Here's the joyful news that just arrived in my inbox!


Dear HSLDA Members and Friends:

Good news! House Bill 3478 is dead. Rep. Norman D. “Doug” Brannon, the lead sponsor of the bill, has notified the chairman of the House Education and Public Works Committee and the chairman of the House K-12 Subcommittee that he no longer supports the bill and wants the bill to “remain in subcommittee without hearing.” This effectively kills the most threatening homeschool bill filed in South Carolina since the three options for home instruction were created almost 20 years ago.
