I'm late to this thread. We are starting homeschooling this fall and we are new to it. I have 6th grade and 3rd grade girls. Dot...I'd love to meet up with you sometime! Our girls are the same age. :)

FYI, Reach has just updated their website so it should be easier to join. Membership is only $15 for the year for a family and it runs from July-June.

I noticed we have some SC local homeschoolers here and with registration opening soon and classes being planned for the Fall I wanted to spread the word for those interested. I know two years ago I could not find anything like this and would have loved to have heard about it then and this is the highlight of my kids week without a doubt!  So I hope this will be the answer others may be looking for as well.   :)

What makes us unique?

AFFORDABILITY- Our co-op is the best HS co-op deal in the area! We

strive to keep our budget as low as possible & we are able to do this by

working together as a team…with all the moms teaching something.

COMMUNITY- We have a variety of classes each semester & the students enjoy the different experiences they are able to have through this. To continue the bond we have ongoing field trips, park days, MNO.

PARENT PARTICIPATION- Where one may be weak in one area another

mom may be stronger in & this is a great benefit for students.

Hi Dana,

We recently relocated to Lexington, SC and are looking to find homeschool families/friends. I read above that your son has severe food allergies. Our son, Brock, is 9 and has severe life threatening anaphylactic food allergies. Can you please share information on food allergy friendly homeschool groups in the area. Many thanks, Amanda.
