2004 Scholarships, Awards, and Achievements

Shannon Petroski, member of Palmetto Homeschool Association, has earned a Trustee Honor Scholarship and Visual Arts Scholarship at Converse College. She has also been awarded a SC LIFE Scholarship. Shannon will be attending Converse this fall as a Interior Design major, with a minor in Dance.
 
Jesse Marsh, member of Grace Homeschool Association, received the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship and the Francis Marion Academic Distinction Scholarship. Marsh was also the valedictorian at Grace Association’s graduation ceremony on May 8, 2004.

The following members of Grace Homeschool Association recently received missions scholarships: Jerry and Enya Piercy (Peru), Lauren Nobles (Nicaragua),  James Brashear (Mexico), Heather Strickland (India), Sharon Rikard (Argentina).
 
Joshua Finn, Kathryn Waller, and Alexi Yanzer, members of Homeward Education Association (HEA), received SC Palmetto Fellows Scholarships this year. Joshua was HEA’s valedictorian, and Kathryn was the salutatorian.
 

Gabrielle Blum, graduate of Palmetto Homeschool Association, has been accepted to the National Evangelization Team sponsored by the Catholic Church. During 2004-2005, Gabrielle will travel across the country sharing her faith and ministering to Catholic youth during retreats. Robert Broughton, member of Palmetto Homeschool Association, received a Bronze Medal for his achievement on the national Medusa Mythology Exam and a Magna Cum Laude distinction for his performance on the National Latin Exam.
