Join us for our Nat Geo Live field trip and explore the Arctic kingdom. We’ll track polar bears, follow caribou herds, and see the Northern Lights in stunning detail!
When: March 24
Where: Blumenthal Performing Arts Center & Discovery Place, Charlotte NC
Registration Deadline: Cancelled due to COVID-19.
During this Nat Geo Live presentation, we’ll travel with photographer Florian Schulz to the ends of the Earth. He camped for weeks in jarring winter conditions, accompanied traditional Inuit hunters, and sailed the arctic waters, all to get an intimate look at life in the Arctic. Through breathtaking imagery, this National Geographic photographer will take us on a legendary journey into the Arctic kingdom – with a special focus on the Arctic Refuge, one of the world’s last great wildernesses.
Following the presentation, we’ll go to nearby Discovery Place for a day of exploration, including a tour of their featured exhibition Antarctic Dinosaurs.
This field trip is appropriate for students in kindergarten (5 years old) and up. No younger siblings can attend. At least one parent or designated adult must attend with their student(s). (This is not a drop-off event).
The timing of events will be provided later, but plan for 8:00 am until 1:00 pm or later.
