Join us for our field trip to the Columbia Museum of Art. We’ll tour the new It’s Alive exhibition and enjoy a session in their studio, creating our own graphic art!
When: February 21
Where: Columbia Museum of Art, SC
Registration Deadline: Registration is closed.
The timing of events will be provided later, but plan for late morning/early afternoon.
The It’s Alive! exhibition features the most comprehensive collections of horror and sci-fi art. It explores popular culture through 135 works from 20th-century cinema, including posters by an international array of graphic designers, rare works by unidentified masters as well as related memorabilia such as electric guitars, lobby cards, film props and costumes.
We’ll get a guided tour of the exhibition, then participate in a hands-on art activity related to the exhibition.
We’ll read graphic novels in our online book group to prepare for this event. Students who participate in the book group and field trip will receive letters of completion from Carolina Homeschooler, documenting participation, topics covered, and credits earned.
This event is limited to member students in kindergarten and up, and their parents. Younger siblings, grandparents, other guests can’t attend. No drop-offs.
Cost, Cancellations, and Refund Policy
The cost is $15 per person (students and parents). If you participate in the book group and attend the field trip, your total payment will be refunded.
No refunds for cancellations or no-shows, for any reason (car issues, medical issues, whatever). To put it simply – this field trip is free, if your students participate in the book group and attend the field trip. If they don’t, then it’s not.
Your submitted registration form and payment acknowledges your understanding and agreement with my cancellation and no-refund policy for this event.
