Join us at Rose Hill Plantation in Union, SC on Saturday, July 20, from 11:00 am until whenever (usually around 4:00 pm or so).
We'll meet at the picnic shelter behind the mansion (just drive around to the back to park. While we're there, we'll tour the Gist Mansion, former home of "Secession Governor" William H. Gist, see other original plantation buildings, walk through the rose gardens, and explore the Gist family cemetery. There's also a 1.25 mile hiking trail down to the Tyger River.
Please bring a picnic lunch and drinks for your family. Since I'll be traveling from a distance for this (and upcoming picnics), everyone will have to bring their own ice, paper plates, napkins, cups, and eating utensils starting with this park.
You must email me to let me know you'll be joining us so I can tell the park interpreter how many to expect for the tours.
The RSVP deadline for this event is July 13. Find out more!
