We are preparing for our Spring Home School Day at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden! We are offering the programming over 2 days! Pre-Registration is required. Please find all the details below.
Day 1: Wednesday, April 1st, 2020
Check-in begins at 8:45am.
Orientation begins at 9:15am.
Program Time: 9:30am- 12:30pm
Day 2: Thursday, April 2nd, 2020
Check-in begins at 9:30am.
Orientation begins at 10:15am.
Program Time: 10:30am- 2:30pm.
Lunch break from 12:00pm- 1:00pm. Lunch not provided.
Objective: Spring has sprung! Have you ever wondered what’s inside of a flower or why birds sing? Come and enjoy hands-on activities and interactive lessons all about spring and our flying friends. Create a bird feeder for you own garden at home! Join the educational staff at various stations set-up throughout the Garden. Programs are geared towards children in grades K-5.
There will be 6 stations set up throughout the Garden, each focusing on a different learning objective.

- Beak Adaptations
- Seed Dispersal & Life Cycle
- Flower Anatomy & Dissection
Cost for this event is $10/first student, $6/each additional student and $12/adult (must be from the same household). Please register online at https://www.dsbg.org/homeschool-days/. Please register early as spots fill up quickly! Walk-ups will not be accepted.
Families may enter a drawing for a complimentary one year Household Membership to the Garden!
