Want to keep up with everything going on at Carolina Homeschooler? Here are some easy ways to stay in touch:
The best way to get announcements of new trips and events is to subscribe to our email newsletter. You will receive 1 or 2 (or fewer) newsletters a month, so it’s not high volume.
Yahoo users often have issues with the link. If you do, just reply to your confirmation email to let me know, and I’ll confirm for you.)
Since you have to confirm your subscription via email, no one can add you to my mailing list without your approval. Check your promotions, spam, junk, whatever folders if you don’t see the confirmation email. If you don’t confirm, you won’t be added to my mailing list and won’t receive new trip notifications.
If you use Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo, or similar email providers, and haven’t seen a newsletter in the past couple of weeks, check your promotions, junk, spam, and other folders. It’s probably stuck there. Then add my email address to your “accepted” list so you’ll see them in your inbox.
You can Follow Us on Facebook, with the following recommendations:
- First, click the Like button.
- Then, click the Follow button (near the “Liked” button below the cover photo). It will have a checkmark beside it if you’re following us.
- Then, click the See First (In Your Newsfeed section), and then click On (in the Notifications section) A checkmark will appear beside both, confirming you’ll get notifications when I post something on my wall, and they’ll show up in your newsfeed first every time you log into Facebook.
- Interact with my page every once in a while (like something or comment on something) to keep our connection active. I’ve heard that if you don’t, you’ll stop getting notifications.
I try to keep Facebook posts down to one or two a day (or less) so you don’t get bombarded with notifications. During a trip, I may post a few more times so you can travel virtually with us.
You can also follow us on Instagram.
I post announcements on our message boards. It’s also a great place to talk about homeschooling, find support groups, and ask questions about our field trips and events.
